KPH (Keystrokes Per Hour) is the standard measurement for numeric and data entry typing speed. While word typing tests use WPM (words per minute), numeric data entry roles: including government exams in India: assess speed using KPH.
The conversion is straightforward: 1 WPM ≈ 300 KPH (based on 5 characters per word × 60 minutes). So if you type at 27 WPM of numbers, your KPH is approximately 8,100: right at the IBPS threshold.
